Samsung Expands Galaxy Enhance-X App Availability, Bringing AI-Powered Photo Enhancements to More Devices

Samsung’s Galaxy Enhance-X app was initially launched for various Galaxy phones and tablets, allowing users to enhance and optimize their photos using artificial intelligence. However, in a surprising move, Samsung made the app exclusive to the Galaxy S23 series through an update earlier this year.

Fortunately, Samsung has now reversed this decision with the latest version of the Galaxy Enhance-X app (1.0.76). The app is now available on the following devices:

  • Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series
  • Galaxy S21 series
  • Galaxy S22 series
  • Galaxy Z Fold 2, 3, and 4
  • Galaxy Z Flip (5G), Z Flip 3, and 4

Samsung has also announced that support for devices in the Galaxy A series is in the works, although the release date for these devices, such as the Galaxy A54, is not yet known.

With the Galaxy Enhance-X app, users can edit their photos in various ways. Some of the editing features include:

  • Increasing the dynamic range
  • Improving lighting
  • Enhancing blurry areas
  • Sharpening the picture
  • Repairing moire patterns
  • Removing reflections and shadows
  • Correcting lens distortion
  • Adding portrait effects
  • Optimizing faces

These functions can also be found in the regular Photo editor, but the difference lies in the automation provided by Galaxy Enhance-X. The app uses artificial intelligence to choose the optimal settings for each edit, eliminating the need for users to adjust sliders manually. Users only need to select the desired function and the extent to which it is applied.

While the app provides automated enhancements, users should still trust their own judgment and compare the edited photo with the original. Ultimately, personal preference and visual assessment play a significant role in the editing process.

To install the Galaxy Enhance-X app is currently not available in the Play Store. Instead, users can visit Samsung’s Galaxy Store on their phone or tablet to download and install the app.
